A coach born to serve
“My mission is to help people lead lives of authenticity, purpose, and intimate connection—within themselves and the world around them.”
My name is Alex and I am a multidisciplinary coach and the founder of Lighthouse Consulting & Wellness, where we bridge practical strategy with deep personal transformation. My work spans small business support—ranging from marketing and startup development to strategic restructuring—alongside holistic offerings including yoga instruction, meditation guidance, men’s circles, and life coaching.
Rooted in a spiritual foundation influenced by esoteric mysticism and Buddhist philosophy, I bring a presence-driven, intentional approach to both business and personal growth. A lover of nature, stories, and soulful R&B, I find inspiration in the wild outdoors and the quiet power of inner reflection. My mission is to help people lead lives of authenticity, purpose, and intimate connection—within themselves and the world around them.
I founded my lighthouse inspired consulting and coaching business to help others navigate through the darkness and into alignment. I believe in, live, and breathe this work! Life brings us all to experience seasons of dark and daunting storms and I believe our experience all comes down to how we react when that storm hits. You have the power to choose to lock up, tightening your body in fear or to be a storm dancer and flow through your adversity.
Experiencing insomnia, anxiety, and depression as a teenager led me to working with a therapist that worked through coaching modalities to prescribe directive care. This therapist introduced me to breath-work practices to take control of my insomnia and realize that I could surpass fear and become a writer of my own story and experience. This changed my life and inspired me to pursue ways to be of service of others. I went from being a high school dropout who missed too much school to graduate with my peers (due to loss of sleep), to a GED recipient enrolled in University within a year. Within another year I was on Dean’s List, which I remained on till my graduation.
In college I studied leadership studies, pre-counseling and religious studies. My interest in religious studies shaped my life with philosophy and allowed me to get grant funded study of spirituality in Japan and Thailand. This also shaped how I viewed purpose and what it meant to serve the collective. These studies led to me evolving from being a curious student of spiritual work to an active participant in my spiritual experience over the second half of my twenties.
This path facilitated spiritual awakenings within me, I found myself led by Spirit to make transformational changes in my life on every level. The lessons I found were not new, they resonate with many teachings and traditions and hold the weight of truth to me. I believe we are all capable of finding these lessons within us and achieving unbelievable stories we had never before dreamed were possible.
These lessons changed my life. They led me on a journey to deeply love myself, and to see the preciousness that is the forgotten miracles in our everyday happenings. To be self-liberated in the present moment outside the allures and dangers of our past and futures.
I grew up in the Washington D.C. area and attended West Virginia University before relocating to Austin, Texas in 2018 for graduate school where I completed 3 semesters of graduate counseling school before switching to a consulting and human development graduate program. My expertise includes counseling and coaching foundations, philosophy, leadership studies, change management strategies and project management. With 10 years of experience teaching meditation and breath-work practices you can feel confidence in the wealth of knowledge I bring to the table. In 2023 I also became a 200-hour certified yoga teacher through Black Swan Yoga.
